After the dramatic collapse of the 10-story building in the city of Villa Gesell, where a hotel operated, the first images of the interior of the construction were released, while emergency services are working under pressure to rescue those still trapped.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the Dubrovnik Hotel, located at the intersection of Avenida Buenos Aires and Calle 1 in Villa Gesell. Currently, firefighters and emergency teams are working in the area removing rubble in search of survivors.

The mayor of Villa Gesell, Gustavo Barrera, reported in an interview with Radio Rivadavia that the building plans date back to 1996 and that approximately six people are trapped. He also mentioned that another adjacent building, smaller in size, collapsed due to the impact of the main building's structure.

In August, work on the hotel that ultimately collapsed in Villa Gesell had been halted. "A building next door that was smaller also collapsed because part of the structure from the other building fell on it," the official pointed out.
