A fight outside a nightclub in Villa Carlos Paz got out of control when a group of young people began to attack police who had been alerted to the assault in front of a gas station. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday on Estrada Street at 100. Officers from the province of Córdoba intervened to calm the situation, but the young people also began to attack the officers with punches and objects.
In the midst of the altercation, one young person attempted to open the door of a patrol car to free a detained friend, without success, and then fled. However, minutes later he was apprehended by authorities. In a video recorded by a witness, a young person can be seen hitting a police officer with a stick while they tried to arrest another individual.
After the police intervention, the opposing groups were separated and the situation was prevented from worsening. Despite this, three men and a minor were arrested for their violent behavior towards the present officers. The arrested were identified as Santiago Capdevila (19), Joel Altamirano (19), Nahuel Smollik (18), and B.M. The detainees will face charges for their participation in the fight and for assaulting the police forces.
