Cryptocurrency financier Francisco José Hauque has accused Elías Piccirillo of defrauding him of 6 million dollars. According to Hauque, the alleged scam occurred in the context of an agreement that included the transfer of shares of a company related to the cannabis sector. Hauque mentioned that the trust to make this investment was based on a relationship he had with Piccirillo six years ago when they were neighbors in Vicente López.
Hauque described Piccirillo as a skilled business person, capable of building social relationships and very empathetic. According to the financier, there were prior economic exchanges, such as a credit card placement and the rental of an apartment, which strengthened the trust between them. Hauque claimed they had reached a notarized documented agreement.
Regarding the involvement of Jésica Cirio, Piccirillo's wife, in the matter, Hauque mentioned that she was aware of the situation but emphasized that Piccirillo was arrested in January for possession of arms and narcotics. He also pointed out that there was a planned trip to Portugal, which involved airline tickets seized by the authorities as part of the outstanding debt.
Hauque maintained that in the dynamics of the relationship, Jésica Cirio was the one in control, while Piccirillo followed her decisions. The financier mentioned that Piccirillo controlled a travel services company and allegedly proposed the trip to Portugal as part of the agreement to settle the outstanding debt. Despite the situation, Hauque indicated that Piccirillo's wife has decision-making power in the relationship and that he shows fear and respect in general.
In 2021, Hauque was named president of the American Fin World Society linked to the company CoinX World, dedicated to cryptocurrencies.
