Seven victims of labor exploitation rescued in Mendoza

An operation by the National Gendarmerie in Tunuyán resulted in the rescue of seven people victims of labor exploitation. The unsanitary conditions led to the intervention of the Federal Court.


Seven victims of labor exploitation rescued in Mendoza

In an operation organized by the Ministry of Security in the province of Mendoza, personnel from the National Gendarmerie managed to rescue seven victims of labor exploitation on a farm in the area. It all started with a complaint alerting about workers in precarious conditions, which led the Anti-Trafficking Section of the Complex Crimes and Judicial Procedures Investigation Unit "Mendoza" to intervene in the case.

After receiving the corresponding court order, a raid was carried out on the farm located in Tunuyán, where the presence of individuals from Tucumán living in concerning conditions was confirmed. At the site, signs of unsanitary conditions and vulnerabilities affecting the seven individuals were detected, prompting the intervention of the National Accompaniment and Rescue Program of Mendoza, along with personnel from the 28th Squadron “Tunuyán” and the Criminal Intelligence Unit "Mendoza" of the National Gendarmerie.

During the inspection of the property, the victims received assistance from professionals present to address their situation. The Federal Court of Guarantees of Mendoza and the Mendoza Prosecutor's Office took action and implemented necessary measures, including the seizure of items related to the case.
