A young police officer who had been missing for five days in the province of Chubut was found on Wednesday after several search operations. María José San Martín, a police officer, was found alive and well during the search missions. She was last seen last Friday, December 12, in the northern area of Lake Colhué Huapi, near Sarmiento, and after the alert, various procedures were initiated using quads, horses, and specialized personnel. After several days of uncertainty, authorities confirmed to local media that this Wednesday morning the officer was found alive in the area where the operations were being carried out. Disappearance It was learned that the police officer and a colleague were supposed to relieve a colleague in Sarmiento, but during the trip, due to weather conditions, the vehicle got stuck. Then, according to the Argentine News Agency, both decided to spend the night inside the car. When dawn broke, they separated to find help and climb to a higher area that would allow them to use their cell phones. Several hours later, San Martín's colleague returned to the vehicle, but she did not find her, and from then on, a series of searches began.
