A 44-year-old man, accused of sexually abusing his stepdaughter, was arrested by the police in the town of Sarandí, Buenos Aires province. The individual had been fugitive from justice since December 2022, when the authorities of the Court in the Criminal 1st Judicial Circumscription of Río Gallegos issued a search and arrest warrant.
The capture of the subject was achieved after federal forces carried out an exhaustive investigation and surveillance. After establishing that the fugitive resided in Sarandí, a surveillance operation was implemented in the vicinity of his home, which ultimately allowed for his detention in a public place at the corner of Pergamino and Solier streets.
According to the authorities, the detainee will face charges for the crime of "Aggravated Simple Sexual Abuse by Relationship," thus initiating legal proceedings against him. The case, under the supervision of Dr. Verónica Rugiero, has been closely monitored by the relevant authorities to ensure justice for the acts committed by the accused.
