Buenos Aires, Dec 14 (NA) -- Estudiantes won its eleventh national title in the professional era, defeating Racing 5-4 on penalties in the final of the 2025 Clausura Tournament, held in Santiago del Estero. In this regard, according to a survey by the Argentine News Agency, the 'Pincha' won the Metropolitano of 1967 and 1982, the Nacional of 1983, the Apertura 2006 and 2010, and now the Clausura 2025. To these titles, five national cups must be added: Adrián Escobar 1944, Copa de la República 1945, Copa Argentina 2023, Copa de la Liga 2024, and Trofeo de Campeones 2024.
In the professional football historical table, the team is seventh with 11 championships, behind River Plate with 52, Boca (40), Independiente (17), Racing (15), Vélez Sarsfield (14), and San Lorenzo (14).
