The Justice of Santa Fe sentenced Guillermo Sebastián Pucheta to four and a half years in prison for threatening and attempting to extort a victim, demanding a payment of 100,000 dollars.
The first crime was committed on June 12 of last year, when the accused and another man went to the victim's house. "Pucheta threatened her and told her that if she did not get 100,000 dollars, he would come at night and shoot at the front of the house".
The second crime was committed between October 1 and 10. On October 9, Pucheta went to a commercial establishment belonging to the victim's wife and said that he knew the movements and routines of her family.
During a search on October 10, which led to Pucheta's arrest, a .22 caliber revolver was found at his home, which, according to expert reports, is suitable for firing. For this reason, prosecutor María Laura Urquiza stated: "The four and a half years in prison imposed on Pucheta result from the unification with a previous sentence of one and a half years in conditional prison for illegal possession of a firearm".
Thus, Pucheta was convicted as the author of the crimes of qualified threat and illegal possession of a civilian firearm, and as a co-author of attempted extortion. In addition, within the same investigation, three other people are in preventive custody, including a man extradited from Uruguay.
