Santa Fe Governor Criticizes National Resource Allocation

On December 27, Santa Fe Governor Maximiliano Pullaro criticized the national allocation of resources for road infrastructure during a session at the Southwest Police Station.

The governor pointed out that the amount the federal government provides nationwide is lower than what the province spends on roads, warning that, under these conditions, the national network will inevitably deteriorate.

"Our block opposed Article 30, which mainly concerned the defunding of the disability law and public education," Pullaro said.

In the context of the 2026 budget, Pullaro emphasized the need for the text to include the debts that the central state maintains with interior jurisdictions, including the pension fund debt and the fiscal pact.

He compared the budgets of the two administrations and lamented the projections for the coming year, saying "we would have wanted more budget for road infrastructure."

During the ceremony, Pullaro unveiled 190 Chevrolet Montana pickups for Regional Unit II, procured under the Emergency Law in Security.

"We want to make the province the safest in Argentina," he said, adding, "two years ago, no one in this city, in the province or in the Republic of Argentina, thought what they achieved was possible: containing crime and reducing violence."

Pullaro concluded by highlighting security gains and stressing the need for continued investment in infrastructure and education.
