
Narela Gómez, the first trans soccer player in the Liga Santafesina, passed away at the age of 30 after facing serious health issues. Narela made her debut on the field in 2021 wearing the San Cristóbal jersey, later achieving a historic promotion to the highest category of women's soccer.
Gómez was also the first trans woman to join the Santa Fe Police. The institution mourned her passing and issued a statement in her honor, highlighting the deep mark she left and her appreciated and respected personality by all.
The General Secretary of Women's Soccer in the Liga Santafesina, Viviana Servidio, informed about the pulmonary illness that the young soccer player suffered from, who stood out for her bravery and determination both in sports and in her personal life.
