In the province of Jujuy, a series of operations carried out last week resulted in the detention of 35 people, including four minors. The operations were conducted as part of investigations into drug trafficking. According to the Argentine News Agency, as indicated by the Jujuy Public Ministry, the operations began on February 20 and included raids, public controls, and actions in various localities of the province. The apprehended individuals—30 men and five women—have been handed over to the judiciary. Authorities seized 1,534 doses of cocaine hydrochloride or paste base, weighing approximately 306 grams, and 15,976 doses of cannabis sativa, exceeding three kilograms. Among the detainees were four minors, leading to the involvement of specialized prosecutor's offices and courts for children and adolescents. In addition to packaged drugs for sale, investigators confiscated 32 mobile phones, 10 precision scales, approximately $1,400,000 in cash, a motorcycle, and other items of interest to the cases. The operations took place in San Salvador de Jujuy, Palpalá, Perico, San Pedro, Libertador General San Martín, Monterrico, and Humahuaca as part of a strategy to dismantle small-scale drug sales points. In many cases, the investigations began thanks to anonymous tips.
