The mayor of Quilmes, Mayra Mendoza, participated in Expoagro 2025 that took place in San Nicolás de los Arroyos. During the event, Mendoza visited the exhibition alongside national senator Eduardo Wado de Pedro, and the mayors of Carmen de Areco, Iván Villagrán, and Colón (BA), Waldemar Giordano.
At Expoagro, Mendoza highlighted the importance of adding value to the production chain and generating more foreign exchange for the country, especially considering external debt. According to her words, it is essential to think together with regional producers, Banco Provincia, and representatives from the port of San Nicolás to achieve these goals.
The mayor also mentioned the historical relationship of Peronism with the agricultural sector, emphasizing that previous governments sought to increase production, create jobs, and meet the demands of the population. Mendoza stressed the years of growth during the governments of Néstor and Cristina Kirchner, where both the agricultural and industrial sectors experienced remarkable development.
In this regard, Mayra Mendoza stated: "I believe that Argentina has the potential to repeat that time, where the numbers add up with people included." The mayor's presence at Expoagro was her first personal experience at this event.
