In the city of San Martín in Mendoza, a man and two of his underage children died after the truck they were traveling in overturned. The tragedy occurred at kilometer 986 of Route 7, in the Alto Verde district, when the family was returning from a vacation in Necochea.
The father, 47 years old, and his two children aged 15 and 16 lost their lives in the accident. The mother and the older daughter, 19 years old, suffered serious injuries and were taken to Perrupato Hospital for medical attention.
María Carolina Laiolo, the mother of the family, who was driving the truck at the time of the accident, reportedly fell asleep according to initial investigations. Witnesses who were driving behind the vehicle reported that the truck began to sway from side to side before leaving the road and overturning.
The deceased in this tragic event were Gustavo Héctor Gómez, the father; Ramiro and Trinidad Gómez, the younger children. Micaela Gómez, the older daughter, was seriously injured and is hospitalized.
