Three young people died, while two others are hospitalized with injuries of varying severity after being involved in an accident at kilometer 861 of National Route 55, towards the city of Tilisarao, in San Luis. The tragic event occurred around 03:22 on the stretch between Naschel and Tilisarao. According to local newspapers cited by the Argentine News Agency, a car carrying five people went off the road and would have rolled over. According to official information, officers from the 24th Naschel Police Station requested the presence of volunteer firefighters from Tilisarao and Naschel, who, along with paramedics and police, were in charge of the rescue and transfer of the injured. At the scene, officers confirmed that three of the five occupants of the vehicle had died, while two others suffered serious injuries and were urgently transferred to the 'Ramón Carrillo' Central Hospital in San Luis. Meanwhile, local media reported that the fatal victims were identified as Eduardo Alfredo Ramírez, 38, José Gabriel Salinas, 21, and Francisco Valentín Gonzales, 20. In addition, they indicated that on Sunday the health center issued a medical bulletin on the health status of the two survivors, and according to the official report, both patients, 24, were admitted with various injuries from the traffic accident; one of them presented a left scapula fracture, in addition to fractures in the left forearm and left wrist. The young man is hospitalized in a Moderate Care room, under pain control and clinical evolution, with expectant behavior and reserved prognosis, while the other patient had four rib fractures, with a stable chest and remained hospitalized in the same room, hemodynamically stable, with good pain control, under medical follow-up and with reserved prognosis.
