Tomorrow Friday will mark the beginning of the first night of a new edition of the Folkloric Festival "San Lorenzo, a song of freedom." The event will take place over three nights along the most important river route in the country. More than 500 artists will be present at the celebration that will be held in San Lorenzo, 23 kilometers from the city of Rosario, a historic place where the Battle of San Lorenzo was fought in 1813 by General Don José de San Martín.

Carlos Leguizamón, among other artists, will perform at this festival that invites the community to enjoy folk music and local traditions. In addition to the concerts, there will be a crafts fair, food stalls, and a food court to liven up the event. The invitation, spread through social media, urges attendees to bring their beach chairs to enjoy the three nights of entertainment.

The town of San Lorenzo, along with other cities like Granadero Baigorria, Capitán Bermúdez, Fray Luis Beltrán, and Puerto San Martín, make up the rosarino metropolitan area. Located 150 kilometers from Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, the capital of the province of Santa Fe, it is a region known for its dairy production. During January and February, these popular celebrations are common in the region.

The festival will feature various artists representing Argentine folklore, from soloists to musical groups. From Friday, January 31 at 21:00 until Sunday, February 2, the stage at the El Parador Turístico venue will host these performers. On Saturday, February 1, 14 artists will perform, while on the final day, Sunday, February 2, the performances will continue.

Some of the artists participating in the festival include Carlos Leguizamón, Silvina Vivas, Rocío Saldivia, Julio and Susana Vázquez, and other prominent names in Argentine folklore. The diversity of proposals, including folk dances, musical groups, and soloists, promises to offer an enriching and festive experience for attendees.

For those wishing to attend the festival from the City of Buenos Aires, San Lorenzo can be reached by car via the Buenos Aires - Rosario highway, with a journey of approximately four hours and 326 kilometers between the two cities.
