Relatives and neighbors organized a march in the Buenos Aires locality of San Justo to demand justice for Gabriel Quinteros, a young man who was killed by criminals. Gabriel's father described his son as "a good kid and worker," referring to the tragic incident in which he tried to defend a couple from a robbery and was shot in the abdomen by one of the thieves, subsequently dying at the Paroissien hospital.
During the march, the victim's loved ones and passersby carried signs asking for greater police presence in the area due to repeated incidents of insecurity in the La Matanza party. Gabriel's father thanked those who accompanied them in this difficult moment, expressing his appreciation for the support received.
José Luis, the victim's father, commented that before the fateful event, his son had mentioned an attempted car theft and that Gabriel was about to finish building his house. The atmosphere of the march was filled with emotion, with many attendees wearing shirts featuring Gabriel's image as a sign of solidarity.
In relation to the case, the police arrested a 16-year-old minor nicknamed "Pepo," seizing at the arrest scene a black helmet and a jacket related to the robbery. Additionally, information was provided regarding the minor's criminal record, including resistance to authority, possession of a firearm, abuse of a weapon, and aggravated robbery with a weapon on previous occasions.
This tragic episode began when Gabriel and his friend witnessed an attempted robbery of a couple while they were in front of a barbershop. When they tried to deter the criminals, they were shot at, resulting in the tragic death of Gabriel Quinteros, leaving the community in shock and demanding justice in this case of insecurity that has shaken the area.
