Buenos Aires, November 15 (NA) – San Martín de San Juan lost 2-4 away to Aldosivi de Mar del Plata in the 16th round of the Torneo Clausura, resulting in their relegation to the Primera Nacional. Aldosivi's goals were scored by Santiago Moya, Franco Rami, Justo Giani, and Ayrton Preciado, while for San Martín de San Juan, the scorers were Santiago Barrera and Tomás Fernández. In the first half, both teams went into the break without scoring. Early in the second half, at 18 minutes, Santiago Barrera gave his team the lead, which would have secured their top-flight status with a win. However, the situation turned quickly. First, Santiago Moya and then Franco Rami gave Aldosivi the lead. At 43 minutes, Tomás Fernández equalized from the penalty spot, reigniting San Martín's hopes. But in the very next move, Justo Giani scored again to put Aldosivi ahead, and Ayrton Preciado sealed the 4-2 victory with a late penalty. Coached by Leandro 'Pipi' Romagnoli, San Martín de San Juan was relegated after a disastrous 2025 campaign, finishing last in the annual table with only 28 points.
