A minor was hospitalized in the province of San Juan due to alcohol poisoning during the festivities of the 'Último Primer Día' (UPD), a celebration held by students starting their final year of high school. Additionally, four parties were shut down.
According to information from local media accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the operations took place in Caucete, Rivadavia, Pocito, and San Martín. Police sources stated that these actions were taken following complaints about disorderly gatherings involving a large number of minors.
Specifically, at a party in the city of Pocito, officers detected about 70 minors and some adults. Upon entering the residence, they confirmed that several individuals were consuming alcoholic beverages, leading to the closure of the venue and the confiscation of the drinks.
During this operation, a 17-year-old girl was taken to the Pocito Hospital in an apparent state of intoxication. In another operation carried out in Caucete, in the Enfermera Medina subdivision, police officers confirmed a gathering of approximately 50 minors and 30 adults. By judicial order, the venue was closed, alcoholic beverages were seized, and the minors were handed over to their guardians.
Another celebration took place in Rivadavia, on Libertador and Santo Domingo streets, where around 23 minors were celebrating the UPD, prompting police intervention. In San Martín, in the area of Alamito and Zapata streets, officers found two parties on different properties, with about 20 minors at one and nearly 30 at the other. Consequently, both events were shut down.
