Argentina's Supreme Court Transfers Grabois Threat Case to San Isidro Court

The Supreme Court of Argentina has ruled that the case regarding the alleged threats against social leader Juan Grabois will be investigated by the court in San Isidro. Previously, Grabois filed a complaint in federal court, stating that in April 2023, two police officers came to his home in Villa Adelina based on an anonymous report. He also noted that he received a summons for his underage son to appear at a local service for the promotion and protection of children's rights. The interim prosecutor, Eduardo Casal, ruled that the case should be handled by the provincial judiciary. However, the Supreme Court deemed this transfer premature and decided that the case should proceed in the Guarantees Court of San Isidro. Grabois also emphasized that there were no grounds for federal intervention. He recounted that he tried to get information about what happened, but 'no one could tell me what actually happened'.
