During the first day of the trial concerning the death of Diego Armando Maradona at the Oral Criminal Court No. 3 in San Isidro, a chaotic situation occurred. The court's secretary, Laura Soledad Minici, stated that there were individuals in the courtroom who were not identified as journalists and had links to Judge Julieta Makintach. Minici reported this to Judges Maximiliano Savarino and Veronica Di Tomasso, who permitted these individuals to remain in the public gallery. Minici also informed the judges that these people might have been recording in an intermediate room. Subsequently, Judge Makintach claimed she was unaware of the existence of a hidden recording, for which she stated she bore exclusive responsibility. These statements led to a charge of false testimony against Judge Savarino.
