An 81-year-old retired woman was brutally murdered in her home in San Isidro by criminals who had robbed her days earlier. Her body was discovered by her niece, who found her aunt tied up, lying on the floor, with bruises and in a state of decomposition. The discovery occurred on Wednesday, October 29, when Marina Repetto, 53, called 911 to report that she had gone to her aunt's house, identified as María Susana Rodríguez Iturriaga, because she had lost contact with her for several days. Upon entering the home, she found her dead. The house was in disarray, with signs of forced entry, but the worst situation was in her aunt's bedroom, where she found her tied up and lying on the floor in a state of decomposition. According to the police report accessed by the Noticias Argentinas agency, local DDI and all Tactical Operations Groups (GTO) of the party attended to carry out standard procedures. General Prosecutor Patricio Ferrari, in charge of the UFI Martínez, also attended. The autopsy confirmed that the woman was beaten to death, and it is estimated that the date of death is the night of Saturday, October 25. It was determined that months earlier, the victim had been a victim of a robbery committed by the same criminal organization, which had stolen her jewelry and large sums of money. As the investigation into Iturriaga's homicide progressed, the Buenos Aires Police managed to arrest three young men in the act of attempting to break into a home. Initial investigations revealed that Ramiro Emiliano Julio, 20; Matías Tamurro, 26; Thiago Ponzo, 19; and Agustín Gómez, 20, belong to the notorious 'Banda del Millón,' which authorities are closely monitoring for its involvement in various robberies. In recent hours, more search warrants were issued, resulting in the arrest of Miguel Ángel Viera, 47. At the scene, cell phones, tools for forcing doors, balaclavas, and gloves were seized. It was learned that Viera and his accomplices had written on the wall of the retiree's house, 'In the rich neighborhood, no weapons, no grudges,' a phrase that matches other crimes committed by the gang and became known after the 2006 Banco Río heist in Acassusso. The case for Iturriaga's murder was classified as homicide to cover up the crime, meaning she was killed to conceal the criminal act.
