In San Isidro, residents are alarmed by the growing wave of insecurity that plagues the area, while Mayor Ramón Lanús continues to make no statements regarding the issue. Citizens express their concern over the lack of effective measures to curb the thefts that have become increasingly frequent in the district.
Neighborhood complaints are intensifying as crime rises and the feeling of vulnerability worsens. In a building in Martínez, for example, a thief managed to break in and steal on three occasions in just one week, with local authorities yet to take any concrete action.
The dates and times of the thefts at the building occurred on Friday, February 14 at 11:35 AM, Sunday, February 16 at 7:05 PM, and Thursday, February 20 at 8:49 PM. The lack of response from municipal authorities has generated unrest among residents, who demand a greater police presence in the district and the implementation of more effective security strategies.
It is noted that both the officer in charge of the complaint and the chief of the police station do not belong to the district, which reinforces the community's perception of abandonment. Citizens are demanding that Ramón Lanús stop budget cuts in security and take urgent measures to ensure the protection of the residents.
Amid this context of insecurity, a lack of investment in security by the local government is evident, as residents point out that the police lack resources and that the personnel assigned come from other municipalities. The situation has created a climate of concern and discontent in San Isidro, where the community expects concrete actions from the authorities to effectively address the problem.
