During his stay in the neighboring country, Depp was a guest of Jorge “Corcho” Rodríguez at his Yellow Rose ranch, where he enjoyed meals, recorded in the property's studio, and attended polo matches. The bond between Depp and Rodríguez originated a year and a half ago thanks to an introduction by photographer Ross Halfin, a friend of both.
Verónica Lozano, Rodríguez's wife, revealed details about the actor's visit to their home in Punta del Este and how they later met at film festivals in Rome and San Sebastián during the premiere of the film "Modi," directed by Depp, in which Rodríguez is involved in its distribution in Latin America. It was during the Rome Film Festival that Rodríguez extended the invitation to Depp to visit both Punta del Este and Buenos Aires.
Now, Depp is staying at Rodríguez's house in San Isidro, Argentina, for a week. In an interview, Verónica Lozano described Depp as a loving and calm man. She mentioned that he came accompanied by his assistant, Beechy, who is about 80 years old, and that he has been very relaxed and has no interest in going out anywhere.
Throughout his stay at Rodríguez's residences, Depp has been noted for his good appetite, and Ross Halfin has highlighted that the actor has no dietary restrictions.
