The municipality of San Fernando held the annual closing of the Municipal Children's Football League with an awards ceremony at the microstadium of Sports Center No. 2, where teams from various neighborhood clubs and families from the entire district participated. According to the Argentine News Agency, the event brought together both the men's and women's leagues, with a tournament format that includes categories for children from 6 years old and aims to sustain sports practice as a space for training and social support. The organization highlighted the growth of the female competition, which added more teams during the year and brings together about 600 girls who compete on Saturday afternoons in neighborhood institutions. In parallel, the men's league is developed with 24 institutions and 8 categories, with a calendar that relies on the joint work between coaches, clubs, and the community. The event was attended by municipal authorities, including Secretary Eva Andreotti and Secretary of Sports Carlos Traverso, as well as representatives of the Municipal Tournaments area, who emphasized the daily coordination with the clubs. According to the official balance, the league system brings together around 3,000 children in both branches and was sustained throughout the year with the support of families in training and matches, even in adverse weather conditions.
