The Transportation Safety Board of Argentina has released a preliminary report on the Bombardier Challenger 300 accident in San Fernando, highlighting the initial findings of the investigation.


Preliminary Report on Aviation Incident Released

The Transportation Safety Board (JST) published today the Preliminary Report of the accident that occurred on December 18 with the Bombardier Challenger 300 aircraft, registration LV-GOK, at the San Fernando International Airport, Province of Buenos Aires. The analysis, conclusions, and operational safety recommendations will only be published in the Operational Safety Report, according to Law 27.514.

The Preliminary Report was prepared within the deadlines established by Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation and contains information gathered by the technical team of the National Directorate of Aeronautical Incident Investigation of the JST. The mission of the JST is to contribute to safety in transportation through independent accident investigations and the issuance of recommendations.

The JST's investigation is strictly technical and does not imply any presumption of blame or administrative, civil, or criminal responsibilities regarding the investigated events. As the authority responsible for implementing Annex 13, the JST investigates aviation accidents and incidents at the national level.

The pilots of the aircraft involved in the accident crashed into a house in San Fernando. Although the published Report presents preliminary findings, these are subject to modification as the investigation progresses. The Agency has made all necessary human and technical resources available for the development of the investigation.
