Buenos Aires, March 11 (NA) – Fate sent a letter this Wednesday to the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ARN) informing that it “cannot guarantee the safety conditions or the necessary diligence, due to the radioactive material that is inside the factory.” “Our status as License Holder (of the 500 KeV - 100mA linear electron accelerator for industrial use) requires us to be responsible for radiological and physical safety, as well as to ensure that the use of the authorized radioactive materials and ionizing radiation is carried out with the appropriate installations and the necessary qualified personnel, under adequate safety conditions,” expressed the company's holder, Javier Madanes Quintanilla, in the letter. Likewise, he recalled that this situation occurs in a framework where the industrial plant, located in the town of San Fernando, “is usurped.” In turn, the government confirmed, through the Ministry of Human Capital, that Fate will be fined “for not having paid the wages,” while the period of mandatory conciliation that ends this Wednesday, March 11, was in progress. “A summary has been initiated against the company Fate for the non-payment of the salaries corresponding to the second half of February, which consists of a violation of the mandatory conciliation issued in due course,” they reported from the portfolio led by Sandra Pettovelo. For now, the Secretariat of Labor intends to continue the negotiations between the company and the Single Union of Argentine Tire Workers (SUTNA), while Justice revoked the eviction order of the San Fernando plant and legitimized the protest of the workers who remain inside the facilities in rejection of the closure.
