A woman was found stabbed to death in her home in San Carlos de Bariloche. A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is expected to be questioned by prosecutor Silvia Paolini in the coming hours.
The incident occurred early this Friday when police were alerted to a 50-year-old woman who had been stabbed inside her home located in the Nuestras Malvinas neighborhood. Immediately, as confirmed to the Argentine News Agency, officers went to the scene and found the victim dead on her bed with multiple stab wounds, while a 65-year-old man was found at the scene and was detained.
As the investigation continues, the prosecutor's office in charge has requested that the Forensic Investigation Corps (CIF) carry out the corresponding autopsy, in addition to the intervention of the Victim Assistance Office (OFAVI) for the woman's family.
Regarding the accused, the formal charges against him will be brought this Saturday in Bariloche.
«During these hours and for the rest of the day, the prosecutor's office will be dedicated to collecting evidence,» it was determined.
In addition to Prosecutor Paolini, the Criminalistics Cabinet, the Judicial Investigation Corps of the Police of Rio Negro, and personnel from the 28th Police Station are also involved.
