In San Carlos de Bariloche, a local lawyer filed a complaint with Police Station 27 due to the fires that originated this week on Mount Otto and its surroundings, which consumed about three hectares of native forest. Mónica Goyé made the filing on behalf of her father, who owns a 65-hectare field located on the northern slope of the mountain. However, as learned by the Noticias Argentinas agency, the lawyer did not make any accusations but seeks to investigate the origin of the fires to identify those responsible. At the same time, as she explained to the local press, the "fire spots are caused by people we don't know." Meanwhile, residents of the Melipal neighborhood, affected by the fires of the last few days, came to the Civic Center this Thursday to speak with the authorities and express their concern over the certainty that the fires were intentional, but firefighters have already managed to control them. This morning, early on, cooling and securing tasks continued, with the support of a helicopter from El Bolsón.
