App Driver to Be Tried for Attempted Murder in Bariloche

In the Río Negro city of San Carlos de Bariloche, an app driver will be tried for attempted murder after allegedly knifing a man during a ride. According to information from the local Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF), accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the incident occurred on April 26 at the intersection of Avenida Los Pioneros and Calle Nilpi, where the suspect allegedly attacked the passenger with a bladed weapon, causing serious injuries. It is also alleged that he caused minor injuries to the man's wife, who intervened to prevent the attack on the initial victim. The presiding judge admitted over 20 testimonies and incorporated expert reports and documents, such as forensic and medical reports, as well as clothing with bloodstains, among other pieces of evidence. In this regard, the magistrate has requested the Judicial Office to set a date for the start of the oral trial, which is expected to consist of three to four hearings.
