The governor of Río Negro, Alberto Weretilneck, announced a major infrastructure project for Bariloche, one of Argentina's most touristy cities. The project involves the reconstruction of Route 80 to improve connectivity, regulate entry into the city, and establish Bariloche as the main gateway to Río Negro. 'The access to the airport was a pending debt,' emphasized the governor. According to information from the Argentine News Agency, this is a key step that will settle a historical debt for citizens and visitors arriving in Bariloche. 'We know there is still a long way to go,' he added, 'but this is the direction: to do, to fulfill, and to sustain what the province needs.' The project, financed by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), is valued at over 4,400 million pesos. The governor also announced that on Friday, May 8, the bids will be opened.
Bariloche Airport Access Road Reconstruction
