Salta, Argentina. On Tuesday, the Guarantees Court No. 8 in Salta sentenced Jorge Miguel Hernández to three years in prison. He is the second inmate to be recaptured after escaping from the General Jail on Saturday, April 4. Authorities continue to search for Jonathan Peloc, alias 'Cambodia,' for whom a reward of 10 million pesos has been offered for information leading to his whereabouts. The defendant pleaded guilty to the escape through a abbreviated trial and was declared a recidivist for the eighth time, according to the local Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF). Authorities confirmed that both inmates climbed a wall of the facility, accessed the roofs, and fled upon reaching the public road. Fernández went to the Bicentennial Park, in the provincial capital, but the Police set up a dragnet operation and arrested him on West Ring Road. In addition, the court found him guilty of simple robbery and aggravated robbery, crimes for which he was being held at the General Jail. Meanwhile, the Government of Salta has offered a reward of 10 million pesos to any resident who can provide accurate information about Jonathan Peloc, alias 'Cambodia,' who was being held on preventive detention for an aggravated homicide with the use of a firearm.
