Santa Fe Justice to Set Date for Trial of Rosario Central Fan's Murder

The judiciary of Santa Fe has requested the Judicial Management Office to set a date for the trial for the murder of Ivana Garcilazo, a Rosario Central fan who was killed by a stone to the head on September 30, 2023, near the Gigante de Arroyito stadium. During a hearing held this Tuesday, magistrate Nicolás Fopiani dismissed a recourse presented by the defense of Damian Reinfenstuel, which aimed to incorporate a psychiatric expert to analyze the credibility of a testimony, according to local media reports. The complainant's lawyer, Marcos Cella, considered it a "dilatory maneuver" to delay the progress of the investigation. Reinfenstuel, Ariel Matías Cabrera, and Juan José Massón are detained with preventive imprisonment for the crime of "aggravated homicide". Garcilazo was killed on Saturday, September 30, 2023, after the Rosario classic against Newell's, in which 'Canalla' won 1-0. Near the Gigante de Arroyito stadium, Ivana was hit by a stone to the head while riding on a motorcycle with her boyfriend wearing a Central jersey. The autopsy revealed that the victim suffered 'a severe skull trauma in the right parietal area'.
