Threats in Rosario Schools: Institutions Closed Due to Drug Warnings

The Argentine city of Rosario is on high alert following the discovery of threats targeting educational institutions. Over the past four days, law enforcement agencies have recorded similar incidents, raising serious concerns about a potential surge in violence across the region. On Monday morning, the principal of School No. 84 "José Mármol" contacted the police after a threatening banner appeared on the premises.

According to information provided to the Noticias Argentinas agency, the school's gatekeeper spotted the warning sign directly at the entrance. Consequently, the authorities of the educational institution, located at 330 bis Larrea Street, decided to suspend classes as a preventive measure. Currently, the Public Prosecutor's Office, led by prosecutor Noelia Riccardi, along with the investigative police, are working at the scene.

"The police are thoroughly investigating the circumstances surrounding these notes to ensure the safety of the public," stated law enforcement representatives.

A few hours after the school incident, another threatening message was found on a bridge connecting the Rosario-Santa Fe highway and Route 34. A similar event occurred last Friday at the South School No. 3064, where a banner containing an intimidating message about alleged murders and money laundering was hung from a window.

Over the weekend, a similar poster was discovered at the Rey de Gloria School. Authorities highlighted that all these cases share the exact same characteristics: the threats are handwritten on cloth, and the texts include the names of individuals linked to drug trafficking.
