
A man lost his life early Monday morning after crashing his car into a metal security barrier in Rosario, Santa Fe province. His wife, who was with him, was seriously injured and is hospitalized. The incident occurred in the Refinería neighborhood when the Peugeot 207 he was driving collided with the barrier of a dealership at the intersection of Caseros Avenue, Virrey Vértiz, and Thedy.
According to reports from local media, the driver died at the scene of the accident, while his wife was urgently taken to the Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital (HECA) due to severe polytrauma. Authorities from the Urban Order Brigade (BOU) and the Integrated System of Health Emergencies (SIES) arrived at the scene and confirmed the driver's death.
The investigation of the case is led by prosecutor Mariela Oliva, who specializes in road safety and negligent homicides.
