In the city of Rosario, a historic storm caused severe consequences that required the intervention of dozens of municipal crews to resolve issues of flooding, fallen cables and trees, as well as blown-off roofs and materials. About a thousand complaints related to the storm were received, mainly during the morning of Wednesday.
According to Gonzalo Ratner, head of the municipal Civil Defense, in a dialogue with Telenoche (El Tres), a total of 996 complaints were reported, most of which came in a short time frame in the morning. Ratner emphasized the need for patience from the population, as the crews were working at full capacity on the streets and the operational response was prioritized based on the severity of each situation, which could take hours or even days.
Of the complaints received, almost 600 were related to fallen trees and branches, while the rest referred to blown-off roofs, fallen cables, or poles. On the other hand, the Secretary of Human Development and Habitat reported that a total of 196 families received assistance due to the various consequences caused by the storm, distributed across different areas of the city.
The day was characterized by adverse weather conditions, with more than 120 millimeters of rain and wind gusts of up to 120km/h. Ratner highlighted the hard work done by around 100 crew members, who were deployed throughout the day to tackle the various complexities arising from the scale of the storm.
