Robotics Workshops in Rosario Engage Youth

In Rosario, over 600 children aged 7-14 are participating in robotics workshops that promote creativity and problem-solving skills. These free sessions are being held in community centers, providing an educational yet entertaining summer for kids.

Robotics Workshops in Rosario Engage Youth

Robotics is a discipline that is gaining increasing relevance in children's education. This educational approach encourages the development of logical thinking by presenting problems to solve and programming solutions for robots. One way to introduce children to this world is through kits offered by companies like Lego and Mis Ladrillos. For example, Lego Coding Express is ideal for children aged 3 and up, allowing them to learn about programming sequences, loops, and conditionals.

Another popular kit is Lego Education WeDo 2.0, recommended for children aged 6 and up, and Lego MindStorms Education EV3 for those over 9 years old. These kits promote the assembly and programming of robots, such as a train that can be directed by commands set by colored pieces on the tracks. Additionally, the MindStorms kit comes with a wide variety of sensors and pieces to expand the possibilities for creation.

Robotics is defined as the science that studies the use, application, and programming of robots. These devices receive information through sensors and execute actions according to that information. Companies like Mis Ladrillos have ventured into this field with the ProBots series, which allows children from early stages to higher education to build robots by combining traditional pieces with dynamic, metallic, and electronic elements.

To encourage interest in robotics, spaces like CABATecnoKids have been created, an institute that offers programming and robotics courses for children aged 5 to 17. Additionally, technological vacation camps like those held in Palermo and Vicente López provide programming and robotics activities for the younger ones to have fun and learn during their holidays.

In cities like Rosario, robotics workshops are being developed for children aged 7 to 14 in Municipal Centers and other spaces. These activities aim to stimulate creativity and problem-solving through the manufacturing and programming of robots. This comprehensive proposal combines digital education with moments of fun during the summer.

Educational robotics workshops have expanded to the neighborhoods of Rosario through Itinerant Digital Stations, where more than 10,000 students have participated in the robotics workshops. It is expected that by 2025, more than 7,000 students will be enrolled in these programs. Furthermore, participation in international competitions like the First Robotics Competition in Mexico demonstrates the growing interest in robotics among young people.

In summary, robotics has become a key educational tool for fostering skills such as problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork among children and teenagers. With the support of robotics kits and specialized workshops, they are given the opportunity to explore and develop their potential in an area of great relevance in today's world.
