Buenos Aires, April 1 (NA) — The vigil in Tierra del Fuego to commemorate Veterans' Day and the Fallen in the Malvinas War will take place tonight without Vice President Victoria Villarruel, who declined the invitation to avoid crossing paths with Axel Kicillof. The event, with a strong Peronist presence, will attempt to dominate the scene with three governors and a large delegation of national deputies from various political factions. The host, Governor Gustavo Melella, will head the event in Río Grande, flanked by his counterparts from Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, and from La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela, who accepted the invitation. According to Noticias Argentinas agency, although she had attended the April 2nd event in Tierra del Fuego for the past two years, Villarruel decided to be absent to not share the stage with the Buenos Aires governor amidst speculations from a sector of Peronism about building an anti-Milei front that would include the vice president. From the block of national deputies from Unión por la Patria, Deputy Victoria Tolosa Paz, who promotes a federal Peronist coalition, the Kicillofists Hugo Yasky, Juan Marino, and Hugo Moyano (son), the Grobisist Natalia Zaracho, the Massists Cecilia Moreau and Sabrina Selva, and the Camporist Lucía Cámpora will be present. To prevent the scene from being monopolized by Peronism, La Libertad Avanza decided to send its own delegation to participate in another vigil in Ushuaia, the provincial capital. The delegation in question is composed of National Senator Bartolomé Abdalá and National Deputies Nicolás Mayoraz, Santiago Pauli, Lorena Villaverde, Verónica Razzini, Virginia Gallardo, Miguel Rodríguez, and Agustín Coto, among others. Kicillof's game Kicillof will be in Río Grande, escorted by some of his closest officials, such as the Minister of Security, Javier Alonso, and the General Government Advisor, Santiago Pérez Teruel. With his presence in Tierra del Fuego, the Buenos Aires governor seeks to expand his sphere of influence and establish himself as a pole of accumulation for an opposition front, although his national projections face resistance within the ranks of Peronism itself, where La Cámpora does not intend to pave the way for him. To counter the formation of Kicillofism, hard Kirchnerism has embarked on a process of thawing and recovering political dialogue with leaders who had distanced themselves from the PJ, such as Guillermo Moreno and Miguel Pichetto. The only limit to Kirchnerism's alliance policy, as recently clarified by National Senator Eduardo 'Wado' de Pedro, is called Victoria Villarruel, with whom they are separated by a radically antagonistic view of the illegal repression during the last military dictatorship in Argentina.
