Couple Robbed by Motorcycle Thieves in Ramos Mejía

A couple was attacked by four motorcycle thieves who, at gunpoint, stole the motorcycle they were riding on. The incident took place on Laprida street, almost at the corner of Rosales, in the Buenos Aires locality of Ramos Mejía. The victim, 38 years old, was riding with his girlfriend when they were ambushed by the criminals.

According to sources that informed Primer Plano Online, the couple filed a report at the 2nd precinct of Ramos Mejía. Fortunately, despite the panic experienced at that moment, neither of them was injured. In their statement, the victims explained that they noticed they were being followed from Camino de Cintura. Although they managed to lose the criminals in the internal streets of La Matanza, they reappeared at the right moment to carry out the attack.

Later, they discovered that the thieves escaped on the motorcycles they were using, in addition to taking the couple's Yamaha YBR 250. Finally, it was reported that the Buenos Aires police have identified the criminals and an arrest is expected to take place in the coming hours.

In the words of the affected couple: "It was a very distressing moment, but we are grateful not to have been injured. We hope that the authorities act quickly to prevent future incidents of this type."
