Arrested for sexual abuse in Río Tercero

An investigation initiated by the Specialized Prosecutor's Unit for Crimes Against Sexual Integrity in Rosario led to the arrest of a 36-year-old man in the province of Santa Fe. This individual was accused of having repeatedly raped his partner's daughter, who became pregnant as a result of these abuses.

The case was transferred from Santa Fe to the city of Río Tercero, in Córdoba, after it was discovered that several of the incidents occurred in that province. The aggressor faces charges of aggravated sexual abuse with carnal access due to the existing cohabitation situation and aggravated corruption of minors due to guardianship.

According to the investigation, the man would have abused his 11-year-old stepdaughter in a context of extreme vulnerability, leading her to give birth at the age of 13. After the baby was born, the minor took refuge in a rural area of Santa Fe to escape the continuous manipulation by the aggressor.

The girl's mother and ex-partner of the accused, concerned about the situation, filed complaints in Santa Fe to find her daughter. Currently, the accused has been interrogated, arrested, and is in custody at the Bouwer Penitentiary Service.

Both the minor, her daughter, and the mother were taken to the Río Tercero Courts and Judicial Police facilities in Córdoba to carry out judicial procedures related to the case, such as psychological evaluations, a Gesell chamber, and DNA testing. The complex situation demonstrates the urgent need to adequately address cases of sexual abuse in minors to ensure the protection of the victims and justice in these cases.
