A man was detained in the province of Córdoba accused of drug trafficking, but the surprise for the authorities was that the individual had been released from prison two months ago, where he had been incarcerated for sexual abuse.
Officers of the Anti-Drug Police Force carried out raids in various sectors of the city of Río Cuarto, during which they managed to seize narcotics and detain an individual, according to information from the Public Prosecutor's Office accessed by the Argentine News Agency.
The procedures were carried out at four homes located on Pedro Goyena street in the Alberdi neighborhood, where it was confirmed that a kiosk for drug sales and places for storing narcotics were operating.
In the operations, 382 doses of marijuana, 18 of cocaine, two firearms, 58 cartridges, $269,400, a digital scale, and evidence of interest to the case were seized.
According to authorities, the detainee, a 33-year-old man, had a prior record for the crime of sexual abuse with carnal access and had been granted parole two months ago.
Furthermore, it was added that the individual was in charge of drug sales in front of a sports center in that neighborhood.
The Prosecutor's Office for the Fight Against Narcotics supervised the operations and ordered the transfer of the detainee and the seized items.
