Controversy at UNQui: Assembly Interrupted by Libertarians

The Minister of Government of the province of Buenos Aires, Carlos Bianco, responded to accusations from journalists during a television program where they pointed out he was a "nepotism" teacher at the National University of Quilmes and accused him of performing "indoctrination" with his students. Bianco denied these claims and pointed out that they are part of a series of public attacks on national universities from various sectors.

Bianco explained that the journalists' accusations were false, mentioning that he has 35 witnesses who can confirm his presence and performance as a teacher at the university every Monday night. He also mentioned an incident at UNQui where libertarian activists who were not students attacked students and teachers with pepper spray during an assembly.

The minister pointed out that in the History of Economic Thought course he teaches, all economic doctrines are reviewed, including the theories of authors such as Adam Smith, Ricardo, the Austrian School, as well as Marxist and Keynesian theories. He also clarified that the presence of deputy Agustín Wydler as a teaching assistant in his subject was prior to his role in the provincial government, refuting accusations of indoctrination.

Additionally, Bianco emphasized that UNQui does not have chairs, but courses where each teacher is in charge of one, and that the required bibliography is a normal part of the courses. The minister described the accusations as "lies of all kinds and species" and highlighted his commitment to teaching and the plurality of approaches in his subject.
