A 59-year-old man was killed during a robbery at his home in the town of Pérez, Santa Fe Province, while he was with his son, police reported. The victim was identified as Miguel Elías Hemadi, a truck driver, who had already been robbed a week earlier. The violent incident occurred in recent hours at a house located on Juan XXIII at 800, between Moreno and Güemes, in a residential area surrounded by union properties and campgrounds. According to the victim's 21-year-old son, several criminals broke into the house, beat them, and fled in a Volkswagen Saveiro pickup truck and with a cell phone. The Santa Fe Police arrived at the home after a call reporting a wounded man, but when officers entered the house, Hemadi was already dead. Police sources indicated that the attack was a violent «entradera», in which the attackers subdued and beat the occupants of the house before fleeing with the stolen items. The case is being investigated as «homicide during a robbery» by prosecutor Alejandro Ferlazzo, who ordered various measures to identify those responsible.
