We proudly announce this new record number of visitors to Iguazú National Park, which is the result of the coordinated work between the National Parks Administration (APN), the Secretariat of Tourism and Environment, the concessionaires and service providers in the protected area, the city of Puerto Iguazú, and the Province of Misiones. 'In the framework of this year-end, we celebrate the fruits of the synergy between key actors and we commit to deepening this joint path,' said the president of the APN, Sergio Álvarez.
In turn, the head of the protected area, José María Hervás, stated that 'the combination of a record tourist flow and a commitment to quality turns Iguazú National Park into a world benchmark for conservation and hospitality.' This new historical record, they assure, is possible thanks to the combination of the flow of foreign visitors, especially from Mercosur countries, with a strong national contribution that includes the prominent participation of local visitors and retirees.
World Heritage and Natural Wonder
In addition to conserving a portion of the Paranaense Jungle, the country's most biodiverse ecoregion, Iguazú National Park was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO; while the Iguazú Falls, protected within the area, are considered one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
Iguazú National Park celebrated Christmas with the news of a new tourism milestone: it welcomed its 1,500,000th visitor in this 2025, reaching a record attendance.
