The lawyer representing the family of the injured girl stated that the facts of the car accident are proven and clear. He highlighted three serious circumstances: the police officer was driving at more than double the speed limit, without her emergency lights on, and without considering the circumstances of the location, specifically the presence of children. From a legal standpoint, the case does not present significant complexities in terms of evidence. Meanwhile, the girl, who has undergone several surgeries, is hospitalized in a clinic in Buenos Aires and has recently shown signs of recovery. While judicial proceedings can be lengthy, the prosecution expects the process not to be significantly delayed. "We calculate that before a year has passed since the accident, we will have a sentence," affirmed the lawyer. He also stressed that the technical evidence in the case is solid. Recall that last November, officer Camilia Esperanza hit nine-year-old Catalina Galcerán in the town of Plottier, Neuquén. Charges have been brought against the police officer under an aggravated offense carrying a sentence of two to four years.
