Firefighters found the body of a man floating in a drain in Plottier, a town located about 17 kilometers west of Neuquén city, the provincial capital, in the last few hours. The man is around 40 years old and has not yet been identified by the authorities. The results of an autopsy are also awaited to confirm the cause of death. However, initial indications suggest a non-criminal incident, pointing to the possibility that the man drowned after falling into the canal while intoxicated. The discovery was made in the La Esperanza neighborhood on Percy Clark Street, where neighbors alerted authorities after seeing the body semi-submerged in the water. Divers from the Neuquén Police, Criminalistics, and personnel from the Seventh Police Precinct also participated in the rescue operation, as well as professionals from the Forensic Medical Corps, who removed the body.
