The Pilar Security Secretariat reported the results of a comprehensive operation carried out on January 13, 2026, with 24 people detained as part of vehicle controls and preventive patrols in various localities of the district. According to the Argentine News Agency, during the procedures, more than 3,280 people were identified, and mandatory identification for circulation was checked during tours of neighborhoods and central areas. The deployment included the verification of 2,500 vehicles and the carrying out of random alcohol tests, with the participation of Urban Guard agents, Traffic Directorate, and mobile units from the Traffic Police. In parallel, the Neighborhood Approach Force (FBA) conducted foot patrols and dynamic tours in Pilar, Del Viso, Alberti, Derqui, and Pilar Sur, while the GPM added its presence in Pilar, Del Viso, and Derqui. The Local Police, according to the same report, reinforced coverage on collector roads and central areas, focusing on circulation corridors and points of greatest commercial concentration. From the Security area, they stated that the articulation of forces allows for expanding territorial coverage and improving response times in a context of high summer mobility and neighborhood demands for prevention.
