Argentine Judge Orders New Measures in Mansion Money Laundering Probe

Judge Marcelo Aguinsky has ordered new measures to investigate the alleged money laundering scheme surrounding a mansion in Villa Rosa, Pilar, aiming to uncover the asset network linked to the 100,000-square-meter property and a fleet of high-end vehicles.

The investigation began when authorities conducted a raid on the mansion registered to the company Real Central SRL, owned by Luciano Nicolás Pantano and his mother, Ana Lucía Conte. The probe was initiated by a complaint from the Civic Coalition, which stated that the purchase of the property and high-value assets does not align with the financial capacity of Pantano and Conte, suggesting it could be money laundering through the concealment of third-party assets.

The operation led to significant discoveries: in a warehouse adjacent to the estate, more than 50 'luxury or classic' vehicles were found, including sports cars, high-capacity motorcycles, and go-karts. A bag bearing the name of Pablo Toviggino, the AFA treasurer and a close associate of its president Claudio 'Chiqui' Tapia, was also discovered during the raid, fueling suspicions that both football executives may have a more direct connection to the estate and its assets.

Upon taking over the case, Aguinsky ordered a series of new investigative measures, including identifying the owners of insurance policies for the seized cars, verifying who held 'blue cards' to drive them, requesting satellite and Telepase movement data, and even seeking information on internet and telephone services linked to the mansion, all aimed at reconstructing the asset structure behind Real Central SRL.

Another line of investigation involves the helipad on the property: Judge Aguinsky requested that the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) provide records of pilots and flights that landed there, to clarify who used it and in what context.
