Corruption Investigation Involves Former Transportation Minister

The Civic Coalition has filed a complaint accusing Jorge D'Onofrio and Claudia Pombo of diverting public funds and receiving bribes. According to the complaint, a connection between Vehicle Technical Verification (VTV) and a financial institution would have been established.

During an operation at the Sheraton Pilar, where a financial institution suspected of money laundering through irregular contracts was operating, documents were found that could evidence money laundering. Additionally, records related to other business operations were discovered, such as a hairdressing salon that is also being investigated for similar reasons.

Naval Prefecture agents carried out the raid by order of Judge Adrián González Charvay, of the Federal Court of Campana, as part of the investigation into D'Onofrio and Pombo. It is suspected that Token Capital, the raided financial institution, may have been crucial in the scheme that diverted public funds to private companies, including illegal payments to dismiss traffic fines.

In the course of the investigation, agents reviewed deposits and safes in search of more evidence that could shed light on the alleged corruption scheme linked to the VTV. Justice is progressing in the investigation into the former Minister of Transport of the province and the former president of the Deliberative Council of Pilar in relation to these serious accusations.
