The mayor of Pilar, Federico Achával, toured the progress of the hydraulic work being carried out in the center of the district. According to information from the Municipality, this will improve water drainage in the area and connect the new sewer system with the Luján River. According to the Argentine News Agency, during the visit, the head of the community stated that a 'new stage' of the intervention has begun and emphasized that the objective is to improve water circulation in the central area and resolve 'structural problems' related to runoff. 'Today we toured the beginning of a new stage of this work that will allow us to improve water circulation throughout the center of Pilar and will solve structural problems in the area,' he stated. From the local Executive, they indicated that the work aims to reduce historical complications during heavy rains, with a water conduction scheme that seeks to organize the stormwater system and prevent accumulations in critical areas of the center. The commune also indicated that these works are part of an integral plan for the transformation and enhancement of the center of Pilar, which includes other urban interventions aimed at improving circulation and public space. Among these actions, the Municipality mentioned the widening and repaving of Route 8, as well as new sidewalks and the replacement and installation of street lighting, as part of a package of works that seeks to renew the central area and improve the experience of those who travel there daily. 'We will continue working to transform Pilar's center and each of our neighborhoods and localities,' affirmed Achával, closing the tour, according to the official communication.
