On Sunday, December 1st, the last month of the year began, bringing with it the approach of the holiday season. While people are getting ready for Christmas and New Year's, the city of Pigüé in Argentina hosts its famous gastronomic festival.

This is the 26th edition of an event that brings together locals and thousands of visitors every first Sunday of December. The main highlight of the festival is the preparation of the "Giant Omelette".

At 11 AM in the Municipal Park of Pigüé, a city with Franco-Argentine roots, chefs will begin the cooking process. Creating the four-meter-wide omelette requires 20,000 eggs and the effort of dozens of volunteers.

The festival is not just about cooking. Visitors can enjoy an artisan fair, a gastronomic walk, an agricultural and commercial exhibition, as well as entertainment shows for the whole family.

Once cooked, the giant omelette is cut up and distributed for free to tourists in two varieties: traditional and gluten-free for those with celiac disease.

Known for its tranquility, mountain landscapes, and European recipes adapted to regional tastes, Pigüé is the ideal place to spend the long weekend at the end of the year with family.
